Andy Warhol was an American painter, filmmaker, publisher, actor and a major figure in pop art movement. His family emigrated from Slovakia, and started as a commercial artist. Later he went over to the artist community, where he developed his talents. Andy Warhol was homosexual, and was shot in 1968 by a deranged woman, but survived. He died in New York during a gall bladder surg by a cardiac arrest, and was 58 years.
